The Complete Lawn Care Package

Our treatments explained.

Treatment 1

From February to the end of April…Spray Moss & Apply Spring Fertiliser.

Over the winter months, the lawn can get a build-up of moss. Yes lovely and green, however, it can also overcrowd the grass and inhibit growth. Usually, by spraying the moss and putting down a good fertiliser, the problem is sorted. The moss turns black and dies off and the hit of fertiliser helps the grass grow in it’s place.

Treatment 2

From April to the end of July….Spray Weed Control & Apply Summer Fertiliser.

As the months warm up and the growing season comes upon us everywhere blooms with life and colour. Unfortunately, so do the WEEDS. Creating an unsightly mess if left untreated they can easily spread and take over your beautiful lawn. Some weeds are more difficult to kill than others hence the treatment is repeated later in the year. The fertiliser again aids the grass's growth, strength and colour. During prolonged dry spells, the grass WILL NEED WATERING. This is important as no amount of treatments can stop a lawn from dying off during a drought. A burnt lawn can be costly and take many months to recover. Simply water using a sprinkler, the most effective way, for half an hour when the heat of the day has gone. For example 1st thing in the morning or later in the evening. A sprinkler also makes the best use of the water and gives an even distribution.

Treatment 3

From July to September..Spray Weed Control & Apply Summer Fertiliser.

As for treatment 2, the same is applied. Firstly to try to get rid of the more difficult weeds to kill and secondly to hit the ones that are starting to come back. This treatment can also be applied as late as October depending on the weather conditions.

Treatment 4

From September to January..Spray Moss & Apply a Winter Fertiliser.

As the autumn draws upon us and the weather turns wet yet mild our old enemy the Moss reappears. Spraying now helps to prevent too much moss in the spring. Large area’s of moss could lead to scarifying. The winter fertiliser helps provide nutrients to the lawn over the cold days and long nights.

Weather conditions play a massive part in our day-to-day work. Sometimes it may mean extra treatments, for example, a prolonged wet warm spell may need an extra moss treatment or a long dry spell may need an extra weed treatment. We will do as much or as little as our customer wants.

Due to weather conditions, we cannot always apply the treatments exactly on time. Being a small business the needs of our customers are paramount so applying a treatment when it may not work as well or may cause damage to other areas of the garden will sometimes cause delays. We do not want to waste your money and appreciate your patience. With a large customer base, we will endeavour to get to everyone so no need to panic we will get to you. That said if you ever have any concerns about your lawn we are only just a phone call away. That’s the joy of being an independent local business.
